Status FGD3 series

Intrinsically Safe Fixed Gas Detectors FGD3 Series For detection of Flammable (Hydrocarbon) gases, Toxic Gases and Oxygen

The FGD3 series gas detectors are powered from an intrinsically safe dc power supply and provide an industry standard 4 to 20mA output signal.

They are fitted with a single gas Infrared, Catalytic or Electrochemical sensor for the detection of either Flammable (Hydrocarbon) gases, Toxic Gases or Oxygen according to the type of sensor fitted.

- Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Chlorine, Flammable (Catalytic), Flammable (Infrared), Hydrogen, Hydrogen Chloride, Hydrogen Sulphide, Methane, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Oxygen, Sulphur Dioxide.

Featuress include: Industry standard 4 to 20mA output. Digital display. Single operator calibration.


Status FGD10 series

Status Scientific Controls - Flameproof Gas Detectors FGD10 Series infrared and non-infrared
IECEx and SIRA cerified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Flameproof Fixed Gas Detectors are used in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres where, due to the nature of the environment or the industrial process taking place, there is the risk of an incendive spark from electrical apparatus causing an explosion to occur.
Typical Examples are the oil, gas and chemicals industries.
The FGD 10 series comprises detectors with or without a window and digital display. They can be supplied either in aluminium (standard type) or grade 316 stainless steel (suffix '-SS' ).


Status FGD4 Series

Safe Area Gas Detectors - Loop Powered FGD4 Series of 4 To 20mA Transmitters

The FGD4 series of gas detectors are powered from an 8 to 24 volts dc power supply using the industry standard 4 to 20mA two-wire current loop to transmit the gas level to a separate control panel such as the Status Scientific Controls LC Series. The Carbon Dioxide version uses Infrared gas detection technology and requires a third connection to power the infrared sensor.

Note - These gas detectors are not certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and therefore must only be used in applications where it is known that potentially explosive gases do not exist.

Typical examples of their use are in water purification processes, food preparation and/or storage, car parks, swimming pools, medical applications.

They are available for detection of the following common gas types: Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Chlorine, Ethylene Oxide, Hydrogen Chloride, Hydrogen Sulphide, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Oxygen, Sulphur Dioxide.
